Abram and Naomi

For your prayers. Abram is warded together with Naomi; similar symptoms. May God watch over the children and cause them to recover. May God's strength and peace be with all the care-givers.

Whatever your challenges today, the Lord arms you with strength and helps you overcome them perfectly. He will enable you to be sure-footed even on treacherous grounds. When bad things happen, look out for God's goodness.

Naomi's x-ray result of her lungs yesterday wasn't positive. Her antibiotic dosage had to be increased to twice daily. No news of her discharge as yet. We ask the Lord for healing and restoration for Naomi. Continue to uplift the family in prayers.

Ethan looks adorable in his leg-cast still we seek God's protection over him as he toddles around. May he receive complete restoration to his leg.

Bu Pa Man, Zhi Pa Zhan

Josiah was a child-king who later as a teen brought about a nation-wide reformation and saved the people from God's judgement. His dad was an infamous king who provoked God. Back then, the holy scriptures were buried somewhere in the ruins.

Without a postitive role model and access to God's word, how did this child learn to do "what was right in the eyes of the LORD". Who caused this child to "seek the God of his father David"?

Lately, my children's QT have become s-l-u-g-g-i-s-h again. I'm assured that even when I fail to keep up with their spiritual disciplines, the Counsellor, never stops guiding my children, just as He did with Josiah.

That is no excuse for me though. So parents, let's keep up the thanksgiving, bible stories and prayers with our children. Chinese idiom "bu pa man, zhi pa zhan" (directly translation: not scared slow, scared stationary). Tee hee. You know what I mean. :P

Roasted Monkey

Yikes, had horrible dream. So bad, I must talk it away.
It was a close-up on a clueless monkey being roasted alive! By the time awareness set in, the furless monkey was in too much pain to help itself. I suppose its skin had fused into whatever it was sitting on. I watched its skin turn redder and sore-r by the second. It's eyeballs expanded by the heat to bursting point...Imagine witnessing that and being unable to do anything.
How wierd! So abstract and disturbing.
